1.
Lift the top gear and washer off of the main shaft.
See Figure 5.61.
2.
Double nut the main shaft, and loosen but do not
remove the nut on the bottom of the shaft using an
11/16" wrench. See Figure 5.62.
3.
Remove the two nuts from the top of the shaft so that
the sprocket will fit over the end of it.
4.
Set aside the main shaft sprocket that drives the
tines: See Figure 5.63.
4a. Lift the tine shaft, chain, and sprocket just far
enough for the sprocket to clear the main shaft.
4b. Move the sprocket out of the way.
4c.
Lower the tine shaft. The sprocket and chain
may be left connected to the tine shaft.
