Chapter 22 Firmware
T/AMG1011-T, that is, on your computer, local network or FTP site and so the name (but not the
extension) may vary. After uploading new firmware, see the Status screen to confirm that you
have uploaded the correct firmware version.

FTP Restrictions
FTP will not work when:
You have disabled the FTP service in the Remote Management screen.

The IP you entered in the Secured Client IP field does not match the client IP. If it does not match,

the device will disallow the FTP session.

This section contains examples about managing configuration files and uploading firmware to your
AMG1001-T/AMG1011-T.
Using FTP to Restore Configuration
This example shows you how to restore a previously saved configuration. Note that this function
erases the current configuration before restoring a previous back up configuration; please do not
attempt to restore unless you have a backup configuration file stored on disk.
FTP is the preferred method for restoring your current computer configuration to your device since
FTP is faster. Please note that you must wait for the system to automatically restart after the file
transfer is complete.
Do not interrupt the file transfer process as this may PERMANENTLY
DAMAGE your device. When the Restore Configuration process is
complete, the device automatically restarts.

Rom-0 This is the configuration filename on the
AMG1001-T/AMG1011-T. Uploading the rom-0
file replaces the entire ROM file system,
including your AMG1001-T/AMG1011-T
configurations, system-related data (including
the default password), the error log and the
trace log.
Ras This is the generic name for the ZyNOS
firmware on the AMG1001-T/AMG1011-T.
