4. Set ja ck to req uired height b y rotating
the eye of the jack by hand. Position ja ck
at front – or back – such tha t jack head
inserts into plastic retainer on v ehicle
underbody. Pa y attention to correct
seating .
The base of the jack m ust be directly
below the jacking point on the floor. If
this is not the case during ja cking,
carefully lower the v ehicle and reposition
the jack.
Attach crank to eye of threaded rod and
turn crank to raise v ehicle.
5. Unscrew w heel bolts and put down in
location that avoids soiling the threads.
If the wheel trims are the anti-theft type
they will be rem ov ed together with the
wheel bolts.
6. C hange the wheel. For notes on the
spare wheel – see pag e 237. For notes on
the temporary spa re wheel – see
page 237.
7. Screw in the wheel b olts and lightly
tighten them.
If wheel trims are anti-theft ty pe, first fit
wheel trim and click it into place. Va lve
sy mbol on bac k of wheel trim must point
tow ards valve on wheel.
8. Lower vehicle.
9. Tighten wheel bolts in criss-cross
sequence.
