Adjusting the picture quality for
the recorded pictures
MENU
Press [
] to display the [REC] mode menu
SET
and select the item to set.
Select an effect that matches the recording
situation and your image of the recording.
[CONTRAST]
Increases the difference between

the brightness and the darkness
in the picture.
Decreases the difference
[s]
between the brightness and the
darkness in the picture.
[SHARPNESS]
[r]
The picture is sharply defined.
[s]
The picture is softly focused.
[SATURATION]
The colours in the picture
[r]
become vivid.
The colours in the picture
[s]
become natural.
[NOISE REDUCTION]
The noise reduction effect is
enhanced.
[r]
Picture resolution may
deteriorate slightly.
The noise reduction effect is
reduced.

You can obtain pictures with
higher resolution.

• When you take pictures in dark places,
picture noise may become noticeable. If
picture noise becomes a problem, we
recommend that you take pictures after
increasing the setting for
[NOISE REDUCTION] or lowering the
setting for each of the items other than
[NOISE REDUCTION].
