Memory reset (Initialization)
When the following situations occur, refer to the instructions
below to reset the memory:
• There is no response when buttons are pressed.
• You want to clear and reset the memory contents.
• Turn off the demo function.
• If you set the clock, demo function will be turned off automatically.
• Press and hold [– DIMMER] to brighten the display.
• You inserted a disc the unit cannot play; insert one that can.
• You inserted a blank disc.
• You haven't inserted a disc; insert one.
• You haven't inserted the disc correctly; insert it correctly.
• Check and correct the speaker cord connections.
If this does not fix the problem, there is a power supply problem. Consult the
dealer.
• Disc is dirty. Wipe it clean.
• Incorrect operation performed. Read the instructions and try again.
• Trouble may have occurred. The number following "H" depends on the status of
the unit.
Turn the unit off and back to ON. Alternatively, turn the unit off, disconnect the AC
power supply cord, and then reconnect it.
• If the service numbers fail to clear, note the service number and contact a qualified
service person.
• You can only play DVD-Video if their region number is the same or includes the
same region number as the unit or if the DVD Video is marked "ALL". Confirm
the region number for the unit on the back of the main unit.
• Select "On" in "On-Screen Messages" in "Display" tab.
• The operation is prohibited by the unit or disc.
• You are trying to display incompatible contents.
• This disc may be dirty.
• You are trying to play the DivX VOD content that was purchased with a different
registration code. You cannot play the content on this unit.
• The DivX VOD content has zero remaining plays. You cannot play it.
• Clean the heads.
• If the erasure prevention tabs have been removed, cover the holes with
adhesive tape.
• Press [ /I] to release the jammed tray(s) as the unit will switch off. Switch it on
again and the tray(s) will initialize to the previous tray(s) condition.
• If this still does not fix the problem, please consult the dealer.
To reset memory
1 Disconnect the AC power supply cord. (Wait at least 3
minutes before proceeding to step 2)
2 While pressing and holding down [ /I] on the main
unit, reconnect the AC power supply cord.
"– – – – – – – – –" appears on the display.
3 Release [ /I].
All the settings are returned to the factory preset.
You will need to reset the memory items.
