Original Count Mode

If you have an odd number of originals in 1
some inconvenient situations result in page organization of your output
copies. The copier provides the Original Count Mode in which it counts the
number of originals loaded in the AFR-7 to determine whether it needs to
make the odd-page correction.
Suppose you have an odd number of originals and you want to make 2-in-1
*
copies from them. If you run the copy cycle without letting the copier count
the number of originals, the copier starts the 2-in-1 copy cycle by first
using the last two originals. This means that you will end up having a blank
page beside page 1 on the last copy. See below.
The Copier Makes No
Odd-Page Correction.
Select either one of the following three functions to let the copier perform the
original count sequence:
Auto Count: The copier counts the number of originals loaded onto the AFR-7
to determine whether the number is odd or even. If the number is
odd, the copier automatically makes the odd-page correction.
Even:
Select this when you already know that you have an even number
of originals. The copier does not make any odd-page correction.
Odd:
Select this when you already know that you have an odd number of
originals. The copier makes the odd-page correction.
NOTE
The Auto Count Mode is possible only when the copier is equipped with an
AFR-7.
