To prevent breaking the locking lever, push the lever out
only enough to release it from the processor cartridge.
8. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the opposite end of the cartridge.

Before picking up the processor cartridge, reduce static
discharge by touching the metal frame of the system unit.
9. Pull the cartridge straight up and out of the socket and universal retention
mechanism.
10. Store the cartridge in an antistatic bag.
11. Install the upgrade processor (see "Installing the Pentium II Processor
Cartridge").
