Blank Panel and Metal Bay Cover Removal

If you are installing an accessible device, such as a Zip drive or tape drive, first
remove the blank panel and the metal bay cover.
Remove the blank panel as follows.
1. Remove the blank panel by pressing the panel tabs from inside the front
panel and pushing the blank panel out (see the figure on the following page).

2. Remove the perforated metal plate from the selected bay on the chassis by
pulling the plate back and forth until it releases (see the following figure).

3. Install the device.
