Identifying the defective memory

The faulty memory module can be identified from the corresponding DIMM Fault
LED on the respective memory board (see
Ê Open the server (see
Figure 28: Button and indicators on memory board

Ê Use the DIMM Fault LEDs (5) to identify the faulty memory module.
The respective DIMM Fault LED lights up orange and indicates the slot on
the memory board that is occupied by the faulty memory module.
Ê Make a note of which LED (e.g. "1B") on which memory board is lit orange.
Ê Press the ATTN button (1) .
Ê Wait until ATTN LED (2) and Power LED (3) are turned off.
