Identifying the defective CSS component

Ê Open the server (see
Ê Press the Indicate CSS button on the system board (see the "System Board
D3141 for PRIMERGY RX600 S6 Technical Manual" on the ServerView
Suite DVD 2).
The PRIMERGY Diagnostic LED of the defective CSS component lights up
orange, thereby indicating which CSS component on the system board must
be replaced (see the "System Board D3141 for PRIMERGY RX600 S6
Technical Manual" for details).

Removing a hot-plug expansion card

Ê If required by the operating system, start the PCI hot-plug software. You will
find information about this in the readme file on the ServerView Suite
DVD 2).

Ê Deactivate the expansion card using either the relevant PCI hot-plug
software or by pressing the light-pipe switch (1).
Ê Wait until the light-pipe switch (1) no longer lights up.
The slot is now zero potential.
Ê If necessary, remove all cables from the expansion card.
