Setting Program Preferences
To import an existing *.EPX file:
1.
Select Tools > Import Preferences.
2.
The program will prompt you to acknowledge that the imported settings will overwrite your current Editor
preferences - click OK to proceed.
3.
In the Open dialog, locate and select the desired *.EPX file, and click Open.
The Preferences dialog should now reflect the preferences specified in the imported *.EPX file.

Customizing the Work Area

The Customize dialog (Settings > Customize) includes options that allow you to customize the NetLinx Studio UI to
best suit your preferences. The options in this dialog are organized into the following tabs:







Use the options in the Command tab of the Customize dialog to customize the contents of the toolbars (FIG. 295).

Categories:
Commands: This is a list of the commands included in the selected Category. You can create a custom toolbar button

Commands: Contains options for customizing the menu bar and menus.
Toolbars: Contains options for customizing the toolbars.
Tools: Contains options for adding external programs to the Tools menu as shortcuts.
Keyboard: Contains options for customizing keyboard accelerators (hotkeys).
Menu: Contains options for customizing the menus and context menus.
Options: Contains additional options for customizing the toolbars
This is a list of all command categories (scroll down to view the entire list). Note that these categories
match the main menu items (File, Edit, Panel, Page, Button, States, Layout, View, Window, and Help), with
a few exceptions: The New Menu option allows you to create a new toolbar, and All Commands lists all
commands in all categories.
