Scaling Presentation Switcher

Installation

Step 1
If desired, mount the switcher in a rack. See
"Mounting the switcher" in chapter 2,
"Installation".
Step 2
Turn off power to the input and output devices,
and remove the power cords from them.
Step 3
Connect source video devices to the switcher's
inputs.
Inputs 1 and 2 — Connect
two composite video
sources.
Inputs 3 and 4 — Connect
two S-video sources.
Input 5 — Connect an
interlaced, progressive,
or HDTV component
video source.
Once power is applied, use the menu
system to set the video type (interlaced,
progressive, or HDTV) for input 5. See
"Configure input 5" on page QS-2.
Inputs 6 and 7 — Connect two VGA – UXGA
(RGB) video
sources.
Input 8 —
RGB
Connect a single
link DVI-D
RGB
video source.
Step 4
Connect source audio devices to the switcher's
inputs.
Inputs 1 through 5 — Connect
unbalanced stereo or mono audio
sources to the left and right RCA
connectors.
Inputs 6 and 8 — Connect unbalanced
stereo or mono audio sources to the
3.5 mm mini stereo jack, shown at right.
Step 5
Connect an RGB or component video
(Y, B-Y, R-Y) display or other output
device to the switcher's 15-pin HD
video output connector, shown at
right.

Step 6
Connect audio devices to the switcher's audio
outputs.

Plug the switcher and input and output devices
into a grounded AC source, and turn on the input
and output devices. Ensure that the connected
video display is turned on and operating
normally so that you can observe the on-screen
RGB
Y, B-Y, R-Y
displays.

Output A — Connect an audio device,
such as an amplifier or powered
speakers, to these left and right RCA
connectors.
Output B — Connect an audio device, such
as powered speakers, to this 3.5 mm, 5-pole
captive screw connector for balanced or
unbalanced audio output as shown below.
