Programming the Remote

3. Press and release the Input Selector button

firmthe data enW.

Selector in Steps1 and3.
NOTE:Beforeprogramming the remotefor

makecertainthat anyprogramming neededfor
the specific TV, C D,DVD, C ableor Satellite
Receivers h as beencompleted.
Reassigning Device Control
Selectors
AlthougheachInput Selector _ is normally
assigned to the categolyof productshown on the
remote,it is possibleto reassign oneof thesebut-
tons to operatea second deviceof anothertype.
Forexampte, i f you havetwo VCRs but no satellite
receiver, y ou mayprogramthe "SAT"buttonto
opelatea second VCR.Beforefollowingthe nor-
mal programming stepsfor eitherThree-Digit e ntry
or Auto Sealchcodeently,you mustfilst reassign
the buttonwith the following steps:
1. Pressthe Input Selector _ you wish to
reassignandthe Mute button _ at the
sametime until the red light appearsunderthe
Input Selector _ and the Program
Indicator @ flashesamber.
2. Pressthe Input Selector _ forthe device
youwish to programinto the reassigned
button.
3. Enterthe three-digitcodefor the specific
modelyou wish the reassigned button to
operate.
4. Pressthe sameInput Selectorql_ pressedin
Step1 oeeeagainto storethe selection. T he
red LEDunderthe reassigned InputSelectorwill
flashthreetimesand thengo out.
Example:Tousethe CBL/SAT buttonto oper-
ate a secondVCR,first pressthe CBUSAT

Resetting the Remote Memory
Asyou add components to yourhome-theater s ys-
tem, occasionally y ou maywish to totally repro-
gramthe remotecontrolwithout the confusionof
any commands, macrosor "Punch-Through" p ro-
grammingthat you mayhavedone.Todo this,it is
possibleto resetthe remoteto the originalfactory
defaultsandcommandcodesbyfollowing these
steps.Note,however` t hat oeeethe remoteis
reset,all commands or codesthat you have
enteredwilt he e_ased and wilt needto be re-
entered:
1. Press any of the Input Selector buttons
andthe "O" button _ at the sametime until
the ProgramIndicator _ beginsto flash
amber.
2. Press the "3" button _ threetimes.
3.TheredLEDunderthe Input Selector 1_ witt
go out andthe Program Indicator _ wilt
stop flashingandturn green.
4. TheProgramIndicator _ will remaingreen
until the remoteis reset.Notethat this may
take a while,dependingon how manycom-
mandsare in the memoryandneedto be
erased.
5.Whenthe Program Indicator _]I goesout,
the remotehas beenresetto the factoly
settings.
