IMPORTANTSAFETYNOTICE
The California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act requires the Governor of California to
publish a list of substances known to the state to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm, and
requires businesses to warn customers of potential exposure to such substances.
Gas appliances can cause minor exposure to four of these substances, namely benzene, carbon
monoxide, formaldehFde and soot, caused primaril 9 by the incomplete combustion of natural gas or
LP fuels. Properl 9 adjusted burners, indicated b 9 a bluish rather than a yellow flame, will minimize
incomplete combustion. Exposure to these substances can be minimized by venting with an open
window or using a ventilation fan or hood.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including the following:

Before performing ang service, disconnect
the range power supplg at the household
distribution panel bg removing the fuse or
switching off the circuit breaken
CAUTION: Items ofinterest tochildren
should not be stored in cabinets above a
range or on the backsplash of a range-
children climbing on the range to reach
items could be seriously injured.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Have the installer show you the location of the range gas shut-off valve and how to shut it off if
necessarg.
