LUBRICATION
The saw motor
bearings
have
been
packed
at the
factory
with
proper
lubricant
and
require
no
additional
lubrication.
The following
parts
should
be oiled
occasionally
with
SAE No. 20 or No. 30 engine
oil.
1. Elevation guide slot and pivot.
2. Elevation screw threads.
3. Bevel screw
threads
(First
clean
with
Craftsman
Gum & Pitch Remover.)
4. Bevel
and elevation
link pivot
points.
5. Cradle
pivot
pin bearing
points.
6. Bearing
points
in miter
gauge
and rip fence.
The saw table
and
other
major
parts
are made
of
aluminum
and
require
no special
care.
A coat
of
automobile-type
wax applied
to the table will help to
keep the surface
clean and allow workpieces
to slide
more
freely.
Treat
unplated
and
unpainted
steel
parts and surfaces
with
Sears "Stop
Rust."
