• When you press the GAIN button [] while _!
is displayed on the screen next to tile gain value,
[_ disappears
and you can adjust the gain
manually. When you press the GAIN button []
again, _ appears and you can adjust the gain
with tile iris ring. See step @ in "Adjusting the
gain" on page 35 lor details on how to adjust the
gain.
• When you press the SHUTTER
SPEED button
[]
while [_ is displayed on tile screen next to
tile shutter speed value, _ disappears and you
can adjust the shutter speed manually. When
you press tile SHUTTER SPEED button []
again, [_ appears and you can adjust the shutter
speed with the iris ring. See steps @ to @ in
"Adjusting tile shutter speed" on page 35 lot
details on how to adjust the shutter speed.

do not want to use the AGC
(automatic
gain
control).

switch

recording
or standby.

When the gain is automatically
adjusted,

the GAIN

The gain value appear
on the screen,
or
next to the gain value disappears.

Set the gain switch

to H, M or L.
The gain value set for the selected
gain
switch
position
appears
on the screen.
You can set the gain value for each gain
switch
position
fi'om [GAIN
SETUP]

the
(CAMERA
SET) menu

• When you record a movie with the gain set to
[-6dB] and play it back with the data code, tile
gain value is displayed as [---1.

speed. You can make a moving
subject

still or emphasize
the movement
of a
moving
subject
by adjusting
the shutter
speed.
