Press the REC START/STOP button [] (or [_).

The recording lamp lights up during recording.
To stop the movie recording, press the REC START/STOP button again,

• When recording in HDV form_t, the _spect r_tio is fixed to 16:9. When recording in DV li)rmat, you
can switch the aspect ratio to 4:3 ([DV WIDE REC] p. 78).
• You can change the screen display during recording (p. 52).
• Indicators displayed on the screen during recording are shown on page 128.
• The recording lamp can be set to stay off ([REC LAMP] p. 83).
• You cannot record movies on a "Memory Stick Duo."
• For low angle recording, the REC START/STOP button on the handle is convenient. Release the
HOLD lever to enable the REC START/STOP button. It might be helpful if you set the LCD panel
luce up or close it af(er turning it luce down, or lift the viewfinder up during the low angle recording.
