Laser Safety
Laser Safety for Types 1 and 2
CDRH Regulations
This equipment complies with requirements of 21 CFR subchapter J for class I laser products. This
equipment contains four AlGaInP laser diodes, 9 milliwatts, 648–663 nanometer wavelength for each
emitter. The beam divergence angle is 28 degrees (minimum) and 35 degrees (maximum) in the vertical
direction, and 7 degrees (minimum) and 10 degrees (maximum) in the horizontal direction, and laser
beams are generated in Continuous Wave (CW) mode.
Caution:
Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified in the manuals
might result in hazardous radiation exposure.
