ECEPTION
You can set up the fax machine to receive the documents sent by your correspondents in three separate modes, that you may access by
pressing the
key: manual reception, automatic reception and automatic reception in the "PHONE/FAX" mode.

ANUAL RECEPTION
For all occasions in which you are present and you can therefore
answer the calls yourself.
If these diagrams are not enough:

Until the display shows:
When the telephone rings, lift the handset to engage the
line. The display shows:
As soon as you hear the fax machine signal or if the corre-
spondent asks you to receive a document. The display
shows:
Hang up.
The fax machine starts to receive and the display shows
some information about the reception in progress, including
the your correspondent's fax number or, if programmed,
his name.
Once the document has been received, the display shows
the message "RX COMPLETED" for a few seconds and
then the stand-by mode.
Any kind of reception may be stopped by pressing the
key. The fax machine then returns to the initial stand-
by mode.

UTOMATIC RECEPTION
For all occasions in which you are out but want to receive documents
anyway. This is the mode originally set on your fax machine; should
it not be set in this way, press the

You have set up the fax machine for the phone/fax mode. The
behaviour of the fax machine in this mode depends on who calls
and on your presence/absence when receiving the fax. The fol-
lowing diagram will help you:

Your fax machine is set to re-
ceive automatically.
The remote party called just to
talk to you: at the end of the con-
versation, replace the receiver.

A TELEPHONE is calling.
Your fax machine beeps for 20
seconds (set value). The dis-
play shows "LIFT HANDSET".
20 seconds have passed and you
have not lifted the receiver.
Your fax is set to receive
automaticaly. It will wait to re-
ceive a document for about 30
seconds, then it will return to the
initial waiting mode.
The remote party asks you to
receive.
Your fax is set to receive.
