Language

A language attribute in the SPM configuration file \spm\ams.cfg (DOS
version) or /usr/ams/ares.cfg (UNIX System version) specifies whether
SPM menus, pop-up windows, and other messages are presented in English,
French, or Spanish. A second language selection option affects messages
from the control unit to SPM, and controls the 7 x 24 console simulation
window for the duration of the session. These two language options operate
independently of each other.
The following discussion refers to the language specified in the SPM
configuration file as the PC language and the language used by the control
unit as the console window language.
