Exporting and importing policies

Move the test computers to the test group.

Exercise the test computers to verify that they operate correctly.
You may want to replace one policy in a group with another.
To replace a policy

In the console, click Policies.

On the Policies page, under Policies, click the type of policy that you want
to replace.

In the policy type Policies pane, click the policy.

In the Policies page, under Tasks, click Replace the Policy.

In the Replace policy type Policy dialog box, in the New policy type Policy
list box, select the replacement policy.

In the tree under Replace Policy, select the groups for which you want to
replace the existing policy.

Click Replace.

When you are prompted to confirm the replacement of the policy, click Yes.

You can export existing policies to a .dat file. All the settings that are associated
with the policy are automatically exported.
You can import a policy file on the Policies page and apply it to a group.
