Adjusting the side door tension

After you detach the duplex option, you must adjust the tension of the wire
that supports the side door. Removing the duplex unit reduces the weight
of the door, therefore changing the tension required to support the door as
it is opened.
If you have a mailbox or a finisher attached to your printer, slide it away
from the printer before continuing.

Remove the small cover on the top of the printer.
