Customizing Dragon NaturallySpeaking

Data Options

Use this tab to instruct Dragon NaturallySpeaking to store corrections in an archive,
conserve disk pace for easier portability of user files, and control how Dragon
NaturallySpeaking adapts training, saves recorded dictation, and backs up user files.
Unless otherwise indicated, changing an option only affects the current user; any
other users keep their existing settings.
Store corrections in archive: Determines whether or not a list of your
corrections are stored for later incorporation into your user files by the Acoustic
Optimizer. Click the Archive size button to specify how much data is stored. If
this option is not selected before you run the Acoustic Optimizer, you may see a
message that there is not enough data for the Acoustic Optimizer to process. Be
sure that this option is selected whenever you use Dragon NaturallySpeaking
for an extended period of time.
Click the Archive Size button to change the archive size by dragging a slider
from 30minutes of stored corrections (the minimum size) to 80 minutes of
stored corrections (the maximum).
Conserve disk space used by speech files (for portability): Instructs the
software to maintain a smaller set of user files so that you can more easily move
them from computer to computer.
Incremental adaptation in additional training: Instructs the software to run the
Acoustic Optimizer after a user performs additional training using only the data
gathered from the training session. If not selected, the software uses all the data
collected by the acoustic optimizer for adaptation.
