N Release and remove the two screws

N Release and remove the screw (14).
Remove the right side panel (15).

Handle plastic and paint-finished
parts with care to avoid scra-
tching or damage.

LIFTING THE FUEL TANK

Carefully read page 25 (FUEL) and
page 43 (MAINTENANCE).
Risk of fire.
Wait until the engine and the ex-
haust silencer have completely
cooled down.
Fuel vapours are noxious for your
health.
Before proceeding, make sure that the
room in which you are working is prop-
erly ventilated.
Do not inhale fuel vapours.
Do not smoke and do not use naked
flames.
DO NOT DISPOSE OF FUEL IN THE EN-
VIRONMENT.
N Move the fuel tap lever (1) to position
"OFF".
N Remove the rider saddle, see page 56
(REMOVING THE RIDER SADDLE).
N Unscrew and remove the screw (2) and
take the bushing.
N Remove the fuel tank support rod (3)
from the relevant anchorage seats.
N Lift the front part of the fuel tank (4) and
introduce the rod (3) as indicated in the
figure.
