Motion AF

The camera automatically tracks the subject within the screen, and keeps it in focus
to take the picture.
Mode dial

Press the AF/&/MF button, and turn the control dial. Select
[MOTION AF], and press the AF/&/MF button again.

Move the AF target mark over the
subject, and press the shutter
button halfway.
• The motion AF continues to operate
while the shutter button is pressed
halfway.
• On the monitor, the AF target mark
moves according to the movements of
the subject.

Press the shutter button fully.
Note
• [MOTION AF] cannot be selected when the camera is set to [R] in f
mode.
• [MOTION AF] may not function properly under the following conditions.
The subject is dark, the subject does not contrast much with the
background, or the color of the subject is similar to the background.

AF target

Move the AF target mark to select the area you want to focus on.

Set the [AF MODE] to [SPOT].
