6.4.2 Procedure for Extracting Maintenance Information when a System
Loop has Occurred
This section describes the procedures for extracting maintenance information when a system loop has occurred.
A system loop has occurred.
If a CLI command entry is not accepted for an extended period of time, a system loop may have occurred.
Press the "dump" switch on the XG1200's front panel.
The maintenance information is automatifcally saved when the "dump" switch is pressed, and then the system restarts.
Reporting system logs on dump outputs/Reporting traps
After the system retarts, a system log is issued to indicate that a forced system dump was generated. Configuring an
SNMP trap in advance causes a trap indicating the occurrence of a system failure to be reported to a system
administrator.
