RS-232C Port
Communications can be made with external devices such as personal computers via
the RS-232C port in Normal mode.

Flowcharts

Setting Mode
Command inputs are not accepted.
Monitor Mode
Command inputs are accepted. However, measurement results are not output to
external devices. Only the command execution result (OK or ER) is output.
Run Mode
Commands can be input and measurement results can be output.

Note When RS/CS or Xon/Xoff is selected for flow control, the F400 will determine that
either the line has been interrupted or the personal computer is not functioning nor-
mally and generate a timeout error if there is no response within the set time. An error
message will be displayed on the video monitor and the error terminal on the terminal
block will turn ON.
Refer to 3-4 Setting Outputs for information on outputs to the RS-232C port
Key. The communications specifications will be saved and the display will return
to the window shown in step 1.
