The system goes directly to the POST event viewer when it is turned on.
1. Check the light path diagnostics LEDs and the Lenovo XClarity Controller event log, and resolve any
errors that have occurred.
2. Make sure that the system supports all the processors and that the processors match in speed and
cache size. You can view processor details from system setup. To determine if the processor is
supported for the system, see

1. Make sure that:
• Each port is assigned a unique address in the Setup utility and none of the serial ports is disabled.
• The serial-port adapter (if one is present) is seated correctly.
2. Reseat the serial port adapter.
3. Replace the serial port adapter.

1. Make sure that:
• The device is compatible with the server.
• The serial port is enabled and is assigned a unique address.
