Colour Phase Control (COLOUR PHASE)
This contro]
allows fine adjustment of the colour phase.
This control should
be adjusted for fine colour matching
adjustment while this camera is used with RCU adaptor and
RCU.
Strobe Effect Shutter/Normal Selection Switch
(SES/NORMAL)
This
switch
selects
the
strobe
effect
shutter
function;
SES:
The
camera
is in strobe
effect
shutter
and
video
signal
from
1/120
to
1/2000
(Vari-
able) sec in every
1/50 sec is provided from
the 10-pin VTR
Connector
(28), 32-pin Con-
nector (26), 14-pin VTR Connector (31), and
S-VIDEO OUT Connector (30).
Normal
video
signal
is provided
from
the
10-pin VTR
Connector (28), 32-pin Connec-
tor
(26),
14-pin

S-VIDEO OUT Connector (30).

Return Video Button (RET)
When the 3/4" U-vision portable recorder, connected through
the 14-pin camera input connector, or anS-VHS VTR record-
er is set to the playback mode, the played back picture can
be viewed as Jong as this button
is kept pressed.
Auto Preset Button (AUTO PRESET)
The
green
LED
lights up when
the power
of the camera
turns on. The AGC, AWC/ATW,
SES, R&B GAIN becomes
preset automatically in this moment. Normally, the camera
will be used under this conditions (LED staying on).
Once the LED turns on, none of those functions can not be
adjusted regardless of the position of those buttons.

Level Indicator Switch (LEVEL
IND ON/OFF)
When this switch is set to the ON position, pictures which
exceed
the specified
level
(100%)
produce a zebra pattern
in the viewfinder,
When
the background
is bright and the object appears
too
dark in automatic iris control mode, adjust the Sens iris in
the manual
iris control
mode
so that the object
in the
viewfinder is almost developing a zebra pattern.
In this case
the background may become overexposed.
Set this switch
to the OFF
position in the automatic iris
contro! mode,
Internal Microphone Connector (INT/MIC)
When
an
microphone
WV-MC12E
is used,
connect
the
microphone connector
here.
Flangeback Adjustment Gear
Flangeback
of the camera can be adjusted by rotating this
gear clockwise or counterclockwise.
Lens Release Button
When
removing
the
lens, press
this button
to unlock
the
bayonet mount and rotate the lens approx. 65° clockwise.
External
Microphone
Connector
for Stereo
(EXT
MIC
MONO CH1 (L)/CH2 (R))
An
external
microphone
with
output
level
of
approxi-
mately
-70dB
can
be connected
to this M3
connector.
When
an
external
microphone
is connected,
the internal
microphone is mechanically disconnected.
When the mono audio VTR is connected, the onty CH1
(L)
microphone can be recorded.
