SOLVENT FLUSHING OF SYSTEM (Optional)
a)
Push black knob on main air control IN to shut machine off.
Open ratio check valves to bleed any trapped pressure from system; close
valves.
b)
situate dispensing gun or outlet over waste container with the gun trigger
or outlet fixed open. If gun is not used, an elbow directing the flushed
material into the waste container will help reduce any clean up due to
flush.
c)
If solvent flush pump has supplied air from the system's main air control,
close the Meter Outlet Coupled Ball Vales and turn air supply to system
ON (black knob OUT).
d)
Open the solvent ball valve in the solvent line connected to the mixer
manifold allowing solvent to flush through mixer/gun.
e)
After the solvent has pushed the bulk of the mixed material from the
mixer/gun, repeatedly open and close the ball valve in the air line coming
form the solvent flush. This causes turbulence in the mixing tube and aids
in the cleaning process. Continue alternating between air on and off until
the solvent flows clean from the mixer/gun outlet.
f)
Shut off solvent supply ball valve and leave air line open to dry the mixer
and insure that all solvent is removed form the mixer.
g)
The solvent may be recirculated back into a supply drum if you wish. To
do this with the hand gun, simply tape the trigger open and insert the
nozzle through the small bung opening on the drum. If the gun is not
used, a hose from the mixer outlet to the drum must be provided. If you
reuse the solvent, we recommend that the pump pick-up tube be at least
12" off the bottom of the solvent drum. When the solvent falls below the
pickup tube level, discard the remaining solvent and waste material.
