10. OPTIONAL APRON INSTALLATION
For installation of the K-1311 apron, refer to the
installation instructions included with the apron. The
apron must be installed on the subfloor. The flooring
thickness must not exceed 1/2" (1.3cm) unless the bath
and apron are shimmed.
11. INSPECT CONNECTIONS
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not
support the weight of the bath by the rim.
Protect the whirlpool surface. Install the finished deck.
Cover the framing and walls with gypsum wallboard.
Tape and mud the gypsum wallboard. Seal the wallboard
and the joints under the whirlpool rim. Install the finished
wall material to the gypsum wallboard. Seal the joints
between the whirlpool rim and the finished wall using
silicone sealant.
12. COMPLETE INSTALLATION
A. INSTALL HANDLES AND SPOUT
After the deck is finished, attach the handles and spout
to complete the faucet installation according to the
faucet manufacturer's instructions.
B. INSTALL WHIRLPOOL TRIM KIT
Refer to the installation instructions packed with the trim
kit when installing the jet or suction trim.
