Opening the front trunk

僅 Open the hood to use the front trunk
by pressing the hood unlock button
located on the dashboard or press the
hood unlock button on the smart key.
For more details on opening/closing
the hood, "Hood" on page 5-50.
僅 Close the hood after using the front
trunk.

僅 2WD: 40 kg (85 lbs.)
僅 4WD: 20 kg (45 lbs.)
Available front trunk weight depends on
the specifications.

Operation
僅 Open the button cover in the front
trunk.

僅 Press the emergency hood release
button.
Operating condition(s)
僅 1st opening position: When the vehicle
is above 5 km/h (3 mph), the hood
opens slightly to secure vision and air -
way.
僅 2nd opening position: When the vehi -
cle is below 5 km/h (3 mph), the hood
opens completely and emergency
escape is possible.
NOTICE
僅 When the hood is opened through a
smart key or digital key application,
the interior light inside the front trunk
may turn on, based on the status of
the door interlocking function for inte -
rior lighting.
- DOOR OFF button activated: Inte -
rior light not turned on
- DOOR OFF button inactive: Linking
to the interior lighting
僅 To avoid possible theft, do not leave
valuables in the storage compart -
ments.
僅 Do not put objects that exceed avail -
able front trunk weight of the front
trunk, or it may cause damage to the
motor room compartment.
WARNING
僅 NEVER make an attempt to get inside
the front trunk. It may cause a fatal
injury.
僅 Before closing the hood, ensure all
obstructions are removed from
around the hood opening. The hood
will rise up or move down automati -
cally if the height is not firmly
