This section shows you how you can get the most out of your battery pack.
Always carry additional batteries
Have suffirient battery pack power to do 2 to 3 times as murh rerording as you have
planned.
Battery life is shorter in a cold environment
Battery effirienry is der_eased, and tile hattery will be used tilt more quirkly, if"you are
recording in a coM environment.
To save battery power
Tmn STANDBY down when not rerording to save battery power.
A smooth transition between scenes can be made even if recording is stopped and
stinted again. While you are positioning the subject, selecting an angle, or looking
through the viewfinder lens or on the LCD screen, the lens moves automatically and the
hatte W is used. The batte W is also used when a tape is inserted or removed.
Be sure and remove the battery pack after using the camcorder.
While you are using your camcorder, the remaining battelTy indicator decreases
gradually as battel T power is used tilt. Remaining time in minutes appears.
When the remaining batter T indicator reaches the lowest point, the c\_ indicator may
appear and start flashing in the viewfinder or on tbe LCD screen.
When the c\_ indicator changes Dora slow flashing to rapid flashing while you are
recording, set the POWER switch to OFF on the camcorder and replace the battery pack.
Leave the tape in the camcorder to obtain a smooth transition between scenes af'.er the
battery pack has been replaced.
