Tile NightShot function enables yon to shoot a subject in a dark place. You can achieve
a satisfactory recording of"the ecology of"nocturnal animals fbr observation with this
f\mction.
(1) While the camcorder is in Standby mode, slide NIGHTSHOT to ON.
(2) Press START/STOP to start recording.

Using the NightShot Light
When you set N.S.LIGHT to ON in the menu system, the picture will be inore clear.
NightShot Light rays are infi ared and are theref_ore invisible. The maximum limit of
NightShot light is about 10 feet (about 3 m).
Notes on the NightShot
• Do not use the NightShot f\mction in bright places (ex.outdoors). This may cause your
camcorder to mall\ruction.
• The fiallowing f\mctions are not operable when using the NightShot f\mction.

Exposure
• When you keep setting NIGHTSHOT to ON in normal recording, picture may he
recorded in incorrect/unnatural color.
• If fiacusing is difficult with the autof_acus mode when using the NightShot function,
fL_cus manually.
