5.3 Connecting the power cable
DANGER
Connecting to line power
• The device is designed for line power with a protective earth conductor.
• To avoid risk of electric shock, this device must only be connected to line power with a
protective earth conductor.
• Contact the responsible building technician or a qualified electrician if you are uncertain
whether the line power is equipped with a protective earth conductor.
CAUTION
Risk of damage to the device
• Only use power cables or connection cables with protective earth conductor and appli-
ance plug according to DIN 49547, IEC 60320 (max. length 3 m, cable e.g. H05VV-F
2
3x1.0 mm
). The cable must comply with the safety regulations of the respective coun-
try.
• Device fuses may only be replaced by authorized repair centers. The failure of a device
fuse may result in a defect in the device. Do not use any other fuse.
CAUTION
Connector
Connectors may only be plugged in or removed by Service when the device is switched
off.
Prerequisite
The monitor has to be installed in the ceiling suspension, wall mount, or stand.
Procedure
1. Using a suitable tool, remove the cover from the connection panel on the back of the de-
vice.
2. Connect the appliance plug to the monitor power connector.
3. The power cable can be secured using a cable grip.
4. Place the cover back on the connection panel.
