3.11. Emptying the Waste Bottles

If the waste bottle is full, auto maintenance will not occur, and head clogging may occur.
When you press the reset button to reset the waste bottle warning, make sure to empty the waste
bottle in advance. This will avoid any spilling or other potential hazards.
When disposing the waste ink, clean the waste tube if there is dirt such as lumps of ink on the tip
of the tube. Otherwise, clogging the waste tube and defective discharging of waste ink could result.
When disposing the waste enhancer, clean the waste tube if there is dirt such as lumps of enhancer
on the tip of the tube. Otherwise, clogging the waste tube and defective discharging of waste
enhancer could result.
Once a certain amount of ink or enhancer is used, the following message is appears on the touch panel.
When you dispose of the waste bottle, replace the waste bottle, or empty the waste liquid in it. If ink
deposits are noticeable in the waste bottle, replace the waste bottle. Take care that, depending on
the amount of ink deposits, the waste liquid may overflow before the waste bottle becomes full.
You can check the amount of waste liquid on the Status screen and reset the waste bottle.
