1. Before You Begin
The ink cartridge surface may have ink on it, so be careful to avoid ink stains.
Do not remove the cartridge while operating the machine. Doing so may cause the ink to spray,
staining clothes and surroundings. If you get anything on your hands, wash them thoroughly with
soap and water.
Do not disassemble a cartridge containing ink, cleaning solution, or pretreatment liquid. Doing so
may leave ink stains or cleaning solution on your hands and fingers.
When shaking a cartridge containing ink, cleaning solution, or pretreatment liquid, be careful about
safety of your surroundings and ink stains. Otherwise, injury or stains on household items may
result.
Do not hit or drop it when agitating. It may cause injury, cartridge damage, or ink leakage.
Do not excessively agitate/shake. It may cause ink leakage.
Agitate/shake as instructed. Other methods may cause ink leakage.
Be sure to wear commercially available protective glasses, gloves, and clothing when replacing or
handling cartridges.
IMPORTANT! If the ink cartridge has been empty for a long time, you will not be able to perform the
maintenance for the print head. This may cause a printer malfunction. Make sure you
always have a new ink cartridge. Install it soon after the message about replacement
appears.
About ink cartridges
Ink cartridges comply with the manufacturer's safety specifications. To ensure safety and reliability,
use genuine ink cartridges.
Do not reuse the ink cartridges.
Using ink cartridges
Do not open the package of an ink cartridge until the cartridge will be installed in the machine.
Do not touch the ink cartridges' ink inlets or chip contacts.
Do not take apart ink cartridges.
Always confirm the color of an ink cartridge before installing it.
Do not remove an ink cartridge once it has been installed unless necessary.
Do not remove an ink cartridge while printing is being performed. Printing will stop.
