Check the carriage position.
Possible case of carriage position
Case 1: The carriage is in the center position or in a position other than the position of the
maintenance unit. Proceed to page 240, "Attaching the rubber cap".
Case 2: The carriage is in the maintenance unit position. The carriage needs to be unlocked.
Proceed to page 238, "Unlocking the carriage".
