Portable Appliance Testing Information
Portable Appliance Test instruments must only be used by qualified persons. This general
guidance forms part of a full PAT inspection and must be read in conjunction with the PAT
tester user instructions and any current testing legislation and standards. Best practice safety
precautions must be taken.
Kenwood KM070 / KM080 series:
• Product is Class 1 type
• Connect the earth test probe to the planet hub nut as shown below
• Carry out Earth Continuity and Insulation Resistance tests according to the guidance
provided with the PAT test instrument.
