Disassembly Instructions
10. The Motor is secured by three screws
11.
Dismantling the gearbox involves
removal of the large pulley. First remove the
drive belt (1).
Fit a stall plug into the slow speed outlet, and
if necessary, use a screwdriver to rotate into
position. Undo the gearbox pulley by hand,
turning anti-clockwise (2), and pull upwards to
remove (3).
12.
During reassembly, ensure all three
motor bosses are fully located within the
gearbox
casting
securing. When reassembled, run the motor
and check that the motor cooling fan is not
rubbing due to incorrect fixing of the motor
and that the drive belt is not rubbing against
the wiring loom.
12. The hub nut is secured by an engineering
adhesive, and may prove difficult to remove.
With the stall plug fitted, using an 8mm
socket, turn anti-clockwise to loosen. Lift the
hub straight up to remove. When refitting the
hub nut, it is important to apply threadlock
60026 to the hub nut prior to reassembly.
