there are in the market:-
1) Two types of planet hub (a circlip type and a bayonet type)
2) Three types of beater shafts (the original circlip type, the new circlip type and the
new bayonet type).
This applies to both Chef and Major machines.
Service Spares
To rationalise stock in the warehouse the only type of shaft stocked is the new circlip
type shaft. All tools will be fitted with this type of shaft as well.
It has been reported that occasionally when under heavy load the new circlip type
shaft can jam in a bayonet type hub. In order to avoid this, where a replacement tool
or shaft is supplied to an appliance with a bayonet hub (including all Cooking Chefs),
it is recommended that the circlip is removed from the shaft before supplying the
part.
