Troubleshooting
Bowl Temperature Sensors
Problems with the Bowl Temperature Sensors can cause the following problems:-
• E:09 message on the LCD.
• Poor temperature control.
Procedure for checking the Bowl Temperature Sensor (NTC) Resistances
See the Error Message Table (E:09 above) before following this procedure.
Disconnect the PCB connector and measure the resistance of both of the NTCs. It may be
difficult to control the exact temperature of the NTC sensor so use the following values as
an approximate guide:-
Table B
An E:09 message will only be displayed if:-
• The Temperature of the bowl is >200ºC.
• NTC circuit is 'open-circuit' (very high resistance).
• NTC circuit is 'closed circuit' (very low resistance).
Coil Overheat Sensor (NTC) Resistance
See the Error Message Table (E:06 above) before checking the Coil Overheat NTC resistance.
Disconnect the PCB connector and measure the resistance of both Coil NTCs. It may be
difficult to control the exact temperature of the NTC sensor so use the following values as
an approximate guide:-
