Troubleshooting
Error Message
The slow speed outlet and high
speed/medium speed outlet covers are
not fitted when heating is switched ON.
These covers are fitted with safety
sensors. If the covers are not fitted
correctly the heating will switch off and
if stir functions are selected, the motor
will run continuously. Mixing speeds
min to max will run continuously.
The sensor consists of 2 reed switches
in the top cover casting and 1 magnet in
the slow speed outlet cover assembly
and
speed/medium speed
assembly. The 2 reed switches are in
series on the same wiring loom. The
magnets are permanent magnets and
do not need to be replaced.
All E:06 errors should be referred to an
authorised repairer.
An E:06 message will be displayed when
the LCD PCB does not receive +5V
feedback from the induction PCB when
it should. The induction PCB has
independent diagnostic systems.
See the additional table below for
further details.
Bowl temperature sensor problem. If
the heater control detects a bowl
temperature higher than expected
during normal use, the motor and
heater will automatically switch off.
The motor and heater will also switch
off if the temperature sensor circuit is
damaged.
Motor speed or overheat problem. If the
motor stalls or gets too hot, the control
system will automatically switch off the
motor and heater. It can also be a failure
of triac (on LCD PCB) controlling motor.

Solution
Ensure that all covers are fitted correctly.
Turn the speed control to 'O' and then select
the desired speed.
If E:04 is displayed when the covers are
correctly fitted and the speed control and
temperature control are in any 'On' position,
the problem will be:-
1. Faulty reed switch loom or loose
connector.
2. Faulty loom or connector between LCD
PCB and reed switch loom.
When removing the top casting from the
high
machine, take care not to damage the wiring
loom. See Disassembly Instructions item 5.
See tables A and C below.
Turn the speed control to 'O'. Unplug the
machine and allow to cool. Check each of
the following:-
Check that the bowl base and bowl
temperature sensors are clean and
retest.
Check that the bowl temperature
sensors are not damaged.
Check the bowl temperature sensor
wires and PCB connector.
Disconnect bowl temperature sensor
connector on the PCB and check the
resistance of the 2 bowl temperature
sensors. See table B below for resistance
values.
Turn the speed control to 'O' and unplug the
machine. Remove any obstructions causing
the motor to stall. Check the motor
connectors. Ensure all the air vents are clear.
Replace: motor, UI PCB (LCD PCB)
