6. Copy the downloaded firmware file onto the root (top) directory of the projector's removable drive.
Note: Do not rename the firmware file.
7. Safely remove the projector's removable drive from the computer, then disconnect the USB cable
from the projector.
The firmware update starts.
While the firmware is updating, the status indicators on the projector start flashing. After the update is
complete, the projector enters standby mode. If Direct Power On is enabled, the projector restarts
automatically.
After the update is complete, check the Version setting in the Management > Information menu to
confirm that the firmware was updated successfully.

The projector contains precision parts, some of which are glass. Follow these guidelines to transport,
ship, or store the projector safely:
• Turn off the projector and make sure the Status light is off before you unplug the power cord.
• Remove any equipment connected to the projector.
• When transporting the projector a long distance or as checked luggage, pack it in a firm box with
cushioning around it and mark the box "Fragile."
• When shipping the projector for repairs, place it in its original packing materials, if possible, or use
equivalent materials with cushioning around the projector. Mark the box "Fragile."
Note: Epson shall not be liable for any damages incurred during transportation.
