place it near devices that radiate heat, leave it
inside an enclosed vehicle, or otherwise
subject it to temperature extremes. Excessive
heat can deform or discolor the unit.

• Insert the CompactFlash card correctly into
the PC card adapter, and insert it all the way
into the PC card slot.

Flash and PC card adapter. Also, avoid
getting the terminals dirty.

Handling CD-ROMs

• Avoid touching or scratching the shiny
underside (encoded surface) of the disc.
Damaged or dirty CD-ROM discs may not be
read properly. Keep your discs clean using a
commercially available CD cleaner.
