In all cases, at least two (2) of the anti-tip bracket

mounting screws must be fastened to a solid wood
surface.
Use appropriate anchors when fastening the mounting
¡
bracket to any material other than hardwood or metal.
Remove the anti-tip bracket from the literature packet,

inside the box that was on top of the appliance.
Place the anti-tip bracket on the floor as shown. It may

be placed on either the left or the right side.
Measure and mark the distance stated for your

appliance model. Center the anti-tip bracket on the
marking.

For walls, wall studs, or floors composed of solid wood

or metal, drill ⅛" (3 mm) pilot holes.
Secure the anti-tip bracket to the floor and/or the wall
5.
stud using the (4) 1½" (38 mm) cross-head screws
provided.
When installing the appliance, ensure that the

adjustable leg slides under the anti-tip bracket.

4.2 Unpacking and moving the appliance
CAUTION
Take the following precautions when handling the
appliance during installation.
DO NOT lift the unit by the oven door's handle, as this
may damage the door hinges and cause the door to fit
incorrectly.
DO NOT lift the unit by the range's control panel.
The unit is heavy and should be handled accordingly.
Proper safety equipment such as gloves and adequate
manpower of at least two people must be used in
moving the unit to avoid injury and to avoid damage to
the unit or the floor.
Rings, watches, and any other loose items that may
damage the unit or otherwise might become entangled
with the unit should be removed.
Hidden surfaces may have sharp edges. Use caution
when reaching behind or under the unit.
DO NOT use a hand truck or appliance dolly on the
back or front of the unit. Handle from the side only.
Unpacking the appliance
NOTICE:
DO NOT remove the control panel foam until the unit is
completely installed.
DO NOT lift on the control panel at any point during the
installation.
Remove the outer carton and packing materials from

the shipping pallet.
Leave the protective film over brushed-metal surfaces,
2.
to protect finish from scratches, until the range is
installed in its final position.
Remove the grates, burner caps and oven racks to
3.
facilitate handling.
