Setting up Windows 95 clients for SMB printing
The following instructions describe printing to a network port using the
Details tab of the Printer Properties dialog. You must specify the option
settings including Server Name in the Service Setup screen, before SMB
printing is enabled. See "Service Setup tab" on
NOTE:
•
The Details tab of the Printer Properties dialog is not available when the
dialog is accessed using File>Print from within applications. This tab
appears only when the Printer Properties dialog is accessed via the
Printers folder.
To set up SMB printing on Windows 95:

From the Start menu, choose Settings, and click
Printers.

Select the Panasonic KX-P8420 printer icon, and choose
Properties from the File menu.

Click the Details tab in the Properties window and click
Add Port.

In the Add Port dialog box, click Network, and click
Browse to display your network environment.
