7-2 Troubleshooting
When the printer's control panel lights come on or flash, you need to
replace paper or ink, or solve a problem, as described below:
Problem
Paper out or incorrectly loaded
Paper tray not installed
Paper jam
Paper path cover is open
Corresponding ink cartridge
nearly empty
Corresponding ink cartridge
empty or not installed
Magenta and
yellow ink out
lights
Response
Load paper, or make sure paper is loaded
correctly, in the corresponding tray. See
page 6-1.
Make sure the indicated tray is installed
correctly. See page 6-5.
Turn off the printer and remove the
jammed paper. See page 7-10.
Close the paper path cover. See page
7-12.
Make sure you have a replacement ink
cartridge. See page 6-20.
Replace the ink cartridge (or make sure
it's installed correctly). See page 6-20.
