9.5.5 Sensor init

Analogous to the setup on your data display, the sensor init settings can also be made directly via the
DSS.
Figure 72: Sensor init
For most applications, it is sufficient to set RPM to the sensor speed , speed to the sensor speed and
gear to the sensor gear. For automatic vehicles, Gear Mode can still be set to gear. The others are
to be set to NA. The explanation of the functions can be found in the figure above.

9.5.6 IO pins

This menu item cannot be accessed directly via the setup of the data display. In this menu item, the
pins for the functions PageSwitch, Brightness and Frequency In can be assigned and activated.
Figure 73: IO pins
Via PageSwitch, the side of the data display can be switched to the next by closing to ground on one
of the pins selectable in the drop-down menu. Here it may be necessary to install an external pullup
resistor (10K ohm).
The same applies to the Brightness Pin, so the display can be dimmed by an external switch.
The Frequency In is used to feed 0-5 V square wave signals (e.g., wheel or charger speed) into your
data display. For example, see our instructions for the FlexFuel Sensor (ethanol).

9.5.7 Can Transmit

In this menu item you can configure the start state (Default status), the behavior (Momentary =
button, otherwise switch) as well as a pop-up window (Inform) for your can switches.
