The maximum distance from a BayStack 650/660 PC card or BayStack PC
card at which communication with another PC card or PC card can still be
expected to occur. This distance can be made greater or lesser by
environmental factors such as building structure or the presence of electrical
interference.
Wired Equivalent Privacy. WEP is an encryption tool used to improve security
of your WLAN. WEP is transparent to network data transfers. WEP involves
encryption between the BayStack PC card and the BayStack Access Point.
This encryption is transparent to network data transfers. WEP employs a
standard algorithm (RSA-RC4 per the IEEE 802.11 standard). The key length
is 40 bits and is exportable.
A local area network in which components (workstations, servers, printers,
bridges, routers, and so forth) are connected by cabling. The BayStack 650/660
PC Card connects to your Ethernet 802.3 wired LAN.
